Delicious food! Ordered raw oysters, mussels in white wine sauce, clam pasta and chicken parmesan. Very yummy! Food was so good I was so happy eating it the entire time. Also very great, attentive service-- when we arrived we did not have a reservation, but we were given an option to be seated at the bar. We then ordered our food, staff joked with us multiple times and checked to make sure we were enjoying our food. Staff are friendly and just very good vibes at this restaurant! Authentic Italian food and I definitely want to come back someday soon. After I finished my food I was full, but still wanted to eat more!

The food is great; I had no complaints on the quality. I had the New Year's Eve menu "Spigola Livornese" Chilean Sea Bass and it was presented well and tasted good. It sat atop spinach and capers, and was lightly covered by red tomato-based sauce, kalamata olives, and a small grape tomato. I tried to savor the dish but I think hunger made me scarf it down more than it deserved. Paired with the food, I had a Falanghina white wine and thought it was a great recommendation by the waitress, and would recommend myself, if you decide to try the sea bass. I walked in without a reservation, by myself, during dinner, and waited a couple minutes before someone walked over to me. It didn't feel very attentive upon entering, to be honest, as I was literally standing there awkwardly, waiting to be, well, waited on. However, it seemed there were a lot of regulars that night, as people would walk in behind me and be greeted by, I assume, the owner, also overhearing people talk of ordering their "regular choices". Mostly older, wealthy-looking people, to speak somewhat modestly. Might tell you the typical crowd or it might not. Regardless, I ended up sitting at the bar and received regular attention by the waitress and bartenders, so I was grateful to them and tipped higher than normal. The Spigola Livornese (Chilean Sea Bass) was $38 and the Falanghina White Wine was $11 for a glass. The place was pretty clean-looking and atmospheric. Plenty of occupied tables and, for this person at least, was relatively easy to secure a seat at the bar. The bathroom is straight down the hall upon entrance and to the left. One person per gendered room, respectively. Overall, 4/5 stars. Good food and drink, but not my typical atmosphere and, bluntly speaking, price range. #brokebutsatiated Nevermind. Recommend to try one day, especially if you've got time before seeing one of the Signature Theatre shows playing down the street. PS: forgot to mention the complimentary bread. It was pretty good. Small pieces of soft, salted bread and a small dish of olive oil and...pesto, was it? Regardless, I liked it.

Very friendly staff, but the food was just ok. Nothing wow’d us. The calamari appetizer was not appetizing, it was kind of rubbery, not a good start to a meal. The meatballs had a lot of fillings and not as much meat as I would’ve liked. And the veal chop entree special was just ok, sad to say, but the veggie sides had more flavor than the veal chop.

My wife and I have been regulars at this fine restaurant ever since it opened. And last night we had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner here! The delicious portions combined with the excellent service (and Nino's special talent for making everyone feel like family!) made for a very memorable experience. We will continue to return and urge everyone coming to Shirlington to check this place out. Highly recommended!

Our server was hands down the best part of our dinner here. She was incredibly nice and told us everything we wanted to know about the food and wine. The pasta was okay. The arancini was great.

We try to go once a twice a year, for the good food and atmosphere. This time, we went for restaurant week and unfortunately the veal was over cooked, chewy and rather difficult to eat. Overall we were a little underwhelmed with our …

Went for the Parmesan wheel Alfredo which was very flavorful but cold. They only serve it Tuesday-Thursday and when we went in on a Wednesday and asked about it they said they didn’t have it at first. It’s not even on the menu. Once we clarified with the waitress they said yes they do have it. Served next to the table it was good but barely warm. Arugula salad was very fresh but not sure we would go back.
